Why was Michael Jackson not a happy person despite his enormous wealth and fame?

Why Was Michael Jackson Not Happy

If I start by saying that money buys everything but happiness I repeat an obvious. But it is so.
I try to break the answer in two.
I have a dear friend who is a psychologist in Milan . The area in which he works is that of Brera, Porta Nuova and Porta Venezia. For those unfamiliar with Milan, we are probably talking about one of the richest areas in Italy. Well, his work is booming because it is full of customers, people who, despite a very high standard of living and vast financial resources, have difficulties. We often joke about this and I tell him that he thrives in the unhappiness of others: from a certain point of view it is true, because my friend bought an apartment in Madonna di Campiglio because his rich and wealthy clients, despite everything, have accounts pending with life.
Second answer. The world of music is littered with artists who, despite glory, money and women, have never managed to achieve happiness. Michael Jackson is perhaps the most striking case, but one could extend the list starting with Kurt Cobain to get to Janis Joplin. And here it gets interesting, because we often talk about people who came from nothing (or a little more), who very young found themselves billionaires. And they realized that whatever they had anyway was not able to give them happiness.
To be happy, we need more. Money is a tool, beautiful and formidable, but it does not give you the joy of the heart. Attention, it is not philosophy, it is reality. How many top managers I knew that despite having climbed the heights of the most splendid careers, full of money and success, they were reduced to Saturday afternoon begging for an exit to do something and lived on Sunday as hell because they didn't know what to do. On the contrary, I have friends who work fourteen hours a day in the countryside, six days a week and are happy like children.
If you want to be happy, you must have something inside you that is worth living for, that gives you a meaning as a person, that prompts you to love and want to be loved. Money, followers, likes, Grammy Awards and women can make you happy , but being happy is something else.

Michael Jackson's Childhood

Michael Jackson did not have an easy childhood, despite having known fame from an early age. The father was not exactly a saint, he gave him every, he and I suppose also to his brothers and sisters.
If your parents hurt you, there is no money that can buy you serenity.

Because fame and wealth do not make you happy, or solve all your problems, unlike what people usually think. Michael Jackson was successful but throughout his life he was treated by people around him as a chicken with golden eggs and not as a person, with feelings and emotions.

He certainly had to suffer the paternal abuse and the false accusations that ruined his image (so there will always be those who think he was guilty because unfortunately that's the way things are).
But I don't have the feeling that he was never happy.
